White powdered crystalline, with weak ammonia odour, with specific gravity 1.586, poor thermal stability, absorbs moisture when exposed to moisture air, decomposed to NH3, CO2 and H2O at 35 degree centigrade, freely soluble in water but insoluble ethanol and acetone. Uses: It is mainly used as the foaming agent of such baked goods as bread, biscuits, cakes etc. Additionally, it's also widely used in chemical and electronic equipment, etc.
